Don't Limit Yourself, Limit Unnecessary People and Things

Image
So I'm one to usually write positive and encouraging things, but this post is necessary. Some people are quick to say:    But really? Life's rather funny. As one gets older, one is liable to come across different type or sorts of people from varying cultures. What remains consistent however within all cultures and races, is the ability for people to be completely self-centered, brackish and downright nasty. There is  nothing more discouraging and disheartening that being surrounded by such people. I am saying this to warn you, and so that you can protect yourself from now or to avoid such people--so when they try to hurt you, it wouldn't have such a big impact on you. THESE ARE THE TYPE OF PEOPLE I URGE YOU NOT TO BE LIKE: The Never-Me-It'-You Sorta Person: I have been unfortunately blessed with being surrounded by many people like this. These are people that cannot see the difference between being rude and being honest, who cannot tell the differ

Enough Is Enough

Image
"There comes a point in every one's life, wherein a person becomes tired of something. It is at this point when people choose to hold on that it is imperative to say--ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!" --PrettyChiq       This have been an incredibly difficult week for absolutely no reason. There have not been a day wherein I did not feel some form of doom or depression weighing hard on me. Some may say it's hormones, others may say it's lack of motivation--it does not matter. I learned something this week however, when to say--ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. These are limits to everything. Step back, getting away or removing yourself from something is not a bad thing. Some people may say it's a sign of weakness, but many know it's a sign of stress of remove yourself from what you are most comfortable with.      As people, we become happy and comfortable in our cycles, making change incredibly difficult to understand or accept. We want things to be as comfortable

To Be Legendary

Image
"Sometimes people have reasons why they don't have time for you. It's not you, it's them. People are busy trying to make themselves legendary. Everyone wants to be acknowledged and accepted." --PrettyChiq Throughout a person's quest to find him or herself, that person seeks to make him or herself legendary. This is a concept that is extremely difficult to understand and grasp, so after speaking to my besties, I finally got some answers. Now this is strictly my opinion so here it goes: As we mature, we seek to find a place in society, amongst the people we most cherish and admire. The pressure becomes more intensified as our friends and peers begin to get married, have children, and the twenties seems to have an inevitable end to it. We are told... But we tend to realize, we are judged oftentimes by the material possessions and accomplishments we have acquired. Soon we look to ourselves, our peers, and others and compare our accomplishments. T

Deciphering Relationships (My perspective)

Image
"Everyone wants the perks of a relationship, no one wants to make the sacrifice. We're living in days when Cinderalla no longer have her appeal as Divorce Court seems a must and 'hoes' are no longer garden tools used to clean the garden. Truth remains, we're in the days when polygamy is norm and monogamy seems to be abnormal. So is it ever worth fighting for?" --PrettyChiq       "There is no such thing as the perfect man or woman. No one is perfect but God. When you're seeking perfectiong seek him. People will each and every time disappoint you. You disappoint yourself at times, what make others so different?" --PrettyChiq   I have watched many great relationships form and even greater ones end. I watched friends with great relationships complain about their significant others, as ones with none complain about what the do not have. This is not directed to any of my friends, but is genuinely based on my experience and what I have genuinely obser

Say No, Mean it, People Are Self-Centered

Image
"Throughout your life, you'll meet many people. Many of these people are able to convince you to do and say things that you many times do not want to. I say to say no and to stick to it. Sometimes it's OK to be completely selfish." --PrettyChiq      People are naturally selfish, wanting and needing things they way they are. Some, more than others, are more selfish and self-absorbed that others. Throughout my short life, I've been confronted with the various different persons who have been completely and utterly self-absorbed, and the truth remains, not all these persons are unhappy being assholes or selfish. Most self-absorbed persons I know are completely and utterly fulfilled and happy. It's all in the perspective.     So let's just start off by listing the top 5 different types of persons I've come across...   Person #1 (The One Who Is Grandiose): I know  someone who refused to give anything, but love to get everything.
